This funding opportunity is available to procure PPE (surgical masks) for use during a state declared pandemic (i.e. Swine-origin Influenza A (H1N1) Virus Infection) event.

No match (100%) funding from the Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services (OEMS).

Funding is AVAILABLE for all non-profit, volunteer and governmental EMS and Fire agencies licensed in Virginia. This is a reimbursement grant, the awarded locality will submit an invoice for reimbursement of the items purchased and distribute to the agencies within their locality.

Applications must be submitted by the local governing body (City Manager/County Administrator), in support of the non-profit, volunteer and governmental EMS and Fire agencies licensed in Virginia. Eligible agencies must coordinate with their local governing body for submission of applications.

Funding per agency will be based on your most recent PPCR data submission in the EMS Registry by licensed agencies.

Funding will be awarded to localities on behalf of eligible agencies for the procurement of appropriate surgical masks to be used during a state declared pandemic event.
- The following criteria will be used to determine appropriate surgical masks:
- Molded Face Mask
- No Eye Shield
- Should Cover Bridge of Nose to Base of the Chin
